Hello, I am encoding dvd's using x264 for video and aac lc 5.1 (nero codec) for audio into an mkv container using staxrip. When i load my mkv file into mediainfo it shows
channels : 6 channels
channel positions : Front:L R Rear: L R ,LFE (C is missing)
when i load the vob file that i just encoded (ac3 5.1) it shows :
channels : 6 channels
channels positions Front: L C R Rear : L R, LFE
I tried that with a couple of encoding, same thing happend each time.
Since i don't have yet a 6 speakers system yet to test it, am i missing the center channel in my aac encoding or is it a bug in mediainfo?
Many thanks in advance for you help.
