I have some DVDs that I thought were really easy to tell frame rate. Lo and behold though some of my DVDs have one .VOB at 23.976 and a different .VOB at 29.97. So basically I'm confused as to which one will get converted and what FPS selection to use. Based on some other sites it was suggested I manually set this setting but which FPS to use?

You use the FPS of the VOB you want to convert.
Only you can know which VOB you want to convert (usually, they are the biggest ones on the disc)
If you want to convert all VOB, you must set the FPS per VOB you are converting (or you must convert FPS...)
