Hi I am sort of new to this and am not sure how to link the mediainfo.DLL to my C++ project in order to use its fucntions.  I am using MSVS 2010.

    many thanks

if you use MediaInfoDLL.h, there is nothing to link, the DLL is dynamicly loaded when you create the first object. Put the DLL in active path when you launch your exe (or any path in your %PATH%). Yes, this is simple ;-)

Do I put my DLL in the debug folder then? where the .exe. will be produced

You put the DLL in an accessible path for the program.
I can not know how you configured your debug environment, this question is not related to MediaInfo: you are the only one to know how you configured your project and your machine.

This kind of question is more for Microsoft than me, but small and quick help about Visual C++: right click on a project, propertie, configuration properties, debugging, working directory.
By default, value is "$(ProjectDir)" = the directory of your .vcproj file.
