I’m having issues with some MXF files & the only difference I can see between the ones that work & the ones that don’t is the value of Delay_SDTI.
All the files that work have a Delay_SDTI value of 0.
All the files that we have issues with have a Delay_SDTI value of 65804000 or some other large number.
I’ve searched & searched but I’m unable to find a definition of Delay_SDTI.
Can anyone please explain what exactly Delay_SDTI means? Hopefully this info will help me track down the cause of our problems.
Thanks in advance.
Delay_SDTI is a small quick hack, now you should also have the same value as a time code (HH:MM:SS:FF) in a specific time code part of the output, e.g.:
Type : Time code
Format : SMPTE TC
Muxing mode : SDTI
Time code of first frame : 00:00:00:00
This value is the time code of the first SDTI System Metadata Pack (SMPTE ST 385 / 326) in the file.
