Mediainfo Linux Version 0.7.44 appears to be parsing the entire media file before displaying results, when processing 'AVI' files.
The problem started in version 0.7.43 and causes the program to 'hang' for several minutes with high I/O activity before eventually returning a result.
Tests show that containers other than 'AVI' work OK.
