Both the ripped DVD MKV file and the avconv transcoded MP4 file have no information when mediainfo is run on them.

MediaInfo Command line,
MediaInfoLib - v0.7.82
Ubuntu Linux 16.04.4 LTS
Kernel 4.4.0-116-generic

Please use an up to date version of MediaInfo.

If issue is still there after having installed an up to date version, I need the file (I think the first MegaBytes should be enough, and I can proved a private FTP server for upload if you need one)

Thanks, I have updated my Ubuntu package repository and mediainfo cli... problem solved.

Both files now show media information.

(my next issue is this MKV file's HandBrakeCLI transcode not showing on Plex!)
