Today I have released new (not really new) source. Alpha 1, Version 3 and Version 4 have been released. Please read the license and readme file included with the releases.
Enjoy!
Version 7.6, set to be released in two (2) weeks is going to be a complete bug fix release. We are going to be patching every bug that currently exists in the game.
To see what bugs we will be working on, go here: http://forums.medievalbattles.com/viewtopic.php?id=3680
In addition to all bugs being fixed, a few long delayed features will be introduced. Two of them being Intelligence and (possibly) the Sett/Guild Fund.
The source to MB: Beta 2 has been released. This version originally ran in October 2002.
NOTE: This source does NOT include a database. The database to this version was lost over the years.
After 3 months of procrastination, we have finally released the source to Beta 1 of Medieval Battles. Beta 1 originally ran in September 2002. Check out the release notes for more information.
After having this Source Forge account for a very long time, we are finally releasing the MB source code for the world to see. We're starting at the begining, as early as we can go, just like we should have back then. So you can now download the earliest MB code we still have, a fun comparison to what is running today.
Be aware with these old versions that they DO have bugs. A lot of them were not hard to fix at all. I will try to get most of them fixed up though.
And also for ticks you need to have Cron access. If you do not have Cron access, you will have to tick the game manually. Ticking it manually is very easy. All you do is open up your web browser, point to where you have MB installed, then go to update.php and click Go.
That's right, we will be releasing old versions of MB later this week. Some of those will be: Alpha 1, Beta 1 and Beta 2.
Just to let you all know, Beta 1 ends October 9th. And Beta 2 starts up October 12th. There will be many many new features/enhancements in Beta 2. So stay tuned for more info. Or you can go to our Public Forums for the latest. http://www.mbforums.com
