Another new Linux version update released !!!
Just read your message now, sorry I missed it. A new Linux version has just been uploaded, please let me know if this version works better (or not).
I'm creating effects now, it's working for me
let me know if the editor is still working with the ME-25, I updated a midi I/O part of the code too. (no longer have a test ME-25 to use)
thanks
Hi, I do see the problem and have posted an updated Windows version with the issue fixed. Thanks for letting me know. Cheers
I can't adjust the MID parameter, just low and high. can anyone help?
Hi, I used to use ME-25 for several years with Windows XP and later with Windows 11. But I normally work with Linux on my Computers und was surprised when I found out, that ME-25 may work under Linux. It works nearly the same way as it did with Windows but there is one thing, why I can use it: When I want to save Bulk ME-25 Patches to files, it breaks down. How can I change this? I hope you can help me. Sorry for my not so perfect English - I'm German... Good day Klaus
not sure if the DOREMIDI supports Boss USB, as the Boss USB is not "class compliant". The CME WIDI uHost does, but it interfaces with Bluetooth midi devices (CME Widi Master Bluetooth to 5 pin midi).
Thanks! And with a DOREMIDI midi host between?
Thanks! And with a DOREMIDI UH10 between?
So long as you are connected via device which support Boss USB drivers, such as a computer with midi routing from the controller to the ME-25 USB port. another device which may work is the CME WIDI uHost, which supports Boss USB drivers, and can receive Bluetooth midi. The FCB1010 will not work directly into the ME-25 USB port as there is no USB driver working the USB ports on both devices (like plugging a computer USB keyboard directly into a Printer USB port and wondering why it won't print as...
Does anyone know if a controller like the behringer fcb1010 could send sisex messages to the boss to change presets?
thanks, it helps a lot
The only way the ME-25 communicates is with system exclusive midi, and the ME-25 only responds to a 141 byte data block of all the parameters of a patch being sent at once in one block. If you enable "deBug Mode" in the editor midi/USB preferences settings, install a midi data editor like "Bomes SendSX" and a virtual midi port like " LoopBE1"> Then set the ME-25 editor to send midi output on "LoopBE1", and "Bomes SendSX" to receive midi on the "LoopBE1" midi port, any control adjusted in the editor...
I'm trying to build a midi controller with an android tablet to individually control the Boss ME 25 pedals. I've already been able to establish the connection, but I can't send MIDI codes. Do you have any idea how to do this?
I cannot assure you 100% but I am almost certain that it cannot. Analyzing with the USBlyzer software I only got midi messages using the ME25 edit software, through the pedalboard it does not seem to emit any midi messages by itself.
Is it possible to use BOSS ME-25 as a midi controller for standalone versions like NEURAL DSP, Guitar RIG?
In Reaper we go to options-preferences-audio-midi devices and in Midi Outputs we mark ME25 enabled. Then we insert Track (to automate patch changes). Right click on the Volume Fader of this Track and Routing for Track-Midi Hardware Output-Me25. We inserted MIDI Item in this track. Double Clik on the MIDI item that we have just inserted. Click below, where Velocity says and we chose Sysex. Right click at the exact point where we want patch change and paste the PATCH code (without F0 and F7). We can...
I will try to explain it I hope you understand. I have used the ME25 EDIT software (ancient version, I do not know if the updated serves, I hope yes) and a software called BOME SENDSX. The first thing is to point the parameters of the patches that we want to create, because you have to do it manually. We open Me25Edit and put the patch parameters that we want to create (it does not serve with patches already created on our pedalboard, you have to enter it manually starting from scratch). Once this...

Hello guy! I would like to know how you made the midi signal work on the reaper to change patches. If so, did you use a CC Learn plugin and command? Or did you discover the values sent by ME25?
I know I arrive 3 years late but I have discovered how the boss me25 can be synchronized with the daw (I have used reaper). If someone is interested, I develop it well in another message because, although it is not excessively complicated, it does take a long time to explain. Sorry for my English but it's a google translation.
Success! It sees it now. Working with it so may have some more questions later. Is there an on screen tutorial or help screen? Thanks for your help. loaded the program on my Mac. It looks awesome. Only issue is the program says the me-25 is not recognized. Tells me to plug it in. It is plugged in but no activity at all. What's my next step to try? Thanks

Hey! I have a same problem. Did you manage to install it?
Download ME-Edit_windows-setup.exe from the site files page and run the installer https://sourceforge.net/projects/me-edit/files/ME-25-Edit/
Hi and thanks for sharing with us this nice software. I am trying to install it on a second computer but I didn't find the ME-25 Edit.exe file on the whole archive. Can you please help me to figure it out? Thanks a lot. Eduardo, from Brazil
I can't offer much more advice, the ME-Edit software is a 32 bit program which runs on both 32 and 64 bit versions of Windows 10. The driver install is something different from the editor software, Windows 10 usually installs the driver automatically via the internet from Roland/Boss, and have 32 bit and 64 bit versions of the driver. There is a Windows 10 driver file with README instructions on how to install or repair the driver, which is on the Boss website in the ME-25 section. I am no sure if...

Hi there, still have the same problem. Do u have a link where I can download the setup for Windows 10 64-bit? I use to have a 86-bit version on my old PC. Could that be the problem? Hi Phill, Have you enabled the Windows Security settings for "Microphone" ? It seems a bit silly, but this security setting stops audio devices being accessed by software and drivers, as a security prevention to stop it from spying on you. If you Google the net on Windows security settings for Microphone, and It is mentioned on some Boss device pages.
I cannot install the ME-25 Editor driver on my new Windows 10 PRO. Before there where no issues with my Windows 10. It recognizes it in de taskmanager, but there is an exclamation mark next to it. See file in the attachment.
Hi Jose,There is not much documentation on the ME-25, the editor sysx is something I had to reverse engineer myself. If you want a memory/sysx map, look in the source code for a file labelled "midi.xml" and has the required effects mapping. CheersColin. 2018 update
Cool, it worked fine now, detects ME-25 ... Thanks !
I have posted a new linux 64 version, which now runs on Kernal 5 linux (Ubuntu 19:04)
I see the source in the site SVN is very old, I have posted updated source in the file downloads section. To build on linux, you will also need a few extra libs, alsa, x11, and a few more. If you run the linux binary in the files download section and use "ldd ME-25-Edit" to find the dependancy libs required.
Hi, I'm having trouble on Linux (mint 19.04). When I click on preferences, the app crashs. Apparently there is a call to kernel/whatever to list midi devices (the me25 itself) and it crashs. I tried loading some kernel modules but dont know exactly what to do. The device is apparently being detected: (base) kpoman@ThinkPad-P50-kpoman:~$ lsusb Bus 002 Device 003: ID 0bc2:231a Seagate RSS LLC Bus 002 Device 002: ID 04e8:61b6 Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd M3 Portable Hard Drive 1TB Bus 002 Device 001:...

Hi, You will need to download and install Qt5 framework to build the ME-25-Edit, using the included "Qt Creator", open the source project in Qt Creator and select build, which the IDE will create the required make file and build an executable. Download the opensource version of Qt from https://www.qt.io/ or in Linux you could install the native version of Qt5 and Qt Creator with synaptic package manager. Cheers Colin.
Hello, I am trying to build from source (because binaries depend on too much stuff unavailable on Ubutnu). There are no makefiles etc. How to proceed ? Thanks !
