I am an user of Emacs and AUCTeX. I am trying to find out a way to get the page (counting from 1 to the page and also the page label, i. e., what is displayed; Ex i, ii, 1). I ask this because I use pstricks and view with gv, but I like that I start the viewer in the correct page (simulation of forward search). I would like to make a routine in Emacs lisp to do that.
For that, I ask your help to know:
1) what is the format of a dvi file? Any docs?
2) if it is simple, how do I know a page break in a DVI file?
3) PS files converted from dvi with dvips show page labels, that is, the string that is displayed in the page. How do I get this info?
Thanks y saludos
Miguel.
