Gabe,

the MdsDiv is a dead class and should not be in the current tree but
rather in the attic. You probably just have it leftover from an old
checkout.

As far as i know all the symbol.* compiles.

Each symbol now writes out its content in xml markup. Just call
toString(). I'll be adding the parsing later tonight.
