Showing what a neophyte I am, I didn't know about that!

Tried that, and it runs through fine, which is a shame, as it would have been 
nice to eliminate PHP!

I've attached a test DB, PHP script and odbc.ini .... I'll keep on plugging 
through today on and off to see if I can get any more clues.
