[mdb-dev] German Umlaute?

hi there,

I have to extract data from a DB given to me which contains german umlaute
in the field names.

Unfortunately I'm not able to change this, but have to read data from this
fields. 

If I try this with mdbtools I alway get a 'parse error' message. I have no
idea how to handle this. Could anyone give me a hint?

Any help would be appreciated!
