I am not a dev nor admin either, but just want to echo a concern that the project may not be very active but is yet still a very very critical tool that needs development. Stating the obvious, but .... I'm coming from the GeoSpatial realm where conversion of ESRI 'Geodatabases' to other formats via the mdbtools based driver [1] within the GDAL project is of critical importance to many users switching from the windows platform to unix. But currently the package is challenging be used successfully: http://trac.osgeo.org/gdal/wiki/mdbtools Dane [1] http://www.gdal.org/ogr/drv_pgeo.html On Dec 5, 2008, at 5:36 AM, Jan van Mansum wrote: > Hi Murray, > > > I'm guessing a little but my feeling is that most of us use mdbtools > to simply retrieve information from an mdb file - the data is simply > extracted into a CSV file. > > You are probably right.
