No, I'm not. But first of all, the freemail.hu isn't our mail project. I =

Well, I work for the Vipmail as a sys admin and there are also 2 =

We use the qmail MTA in particular on FreeBSD and we tried the Linux, =
but the BSD was better.

I'm sorry:-) I believed that it has English language interface, because =
the Freemail is the biggest mailserver in Hungary....at the moment:-)
Now, we are working on Vipmail 2.0. There will be many new innovation. =

Ok, perl is available and installed on your FreeBSD boxes, is it?

I've never used qmail. Can qmail hand over mails to externel programms? The=

external programms should read the mail from STDIN. And can you also refer =
=2D=20
as an option - some information from the mail (e.g. sender, recipient,..)?=

Yes, it is. The built-in perl is 5.05 (as far as I remember), but we use =
the 5.6 version.

Yes
The external programms should read the mail from STDIN. And can you also =
refer -=20
as an option - some information from the mail (e.g. sender, =
recipient,..)?=20
We installed the Maildrop, and it use many variable. Qmail-Maildrop is =
similar to the postfix scope

I thing maildrop read the mail from STDIN...I'll go through the documenta=
tion to
ensure this.

What about your usertable? It is in a sql Database and contain:
- a unique UserID (e.g his e-mail address)
- UID / GID for the maildir
- path to the maildir

Yes, you are right.

What about your usertable? It is in a sql Database and contain:
- a unique UserID (e.g his e-mail address)
- UID / GID for the maildir
- path to the maildir
Our database shema similar to the vpopmail's structure, but we use same UID
and GID for every users.
In fact (only the important fields):
-name
-domain
-passwd
-homedir (for example: /usr/local/vipmail/domain.com/zsozso/Maildir
-status (first, we don't delete the user. If this field is active, the
mailserver won't deliver any message to the user's homedir.)

That make things a little bit easy. I add some code to provide a default =
UID / GID=20

What form is you passwd? clear-text? md5? crypt?

I'll add an additional WHERE clause. Thinks like that can be included thi=
s way.

Sorry, we store the paswd value in two fields. Clear text and MD5.
