Here are some tips on posting in the JAGS forums

Anonymous posting is not allowed. If you are going to ask for help you should take the trouble to tell us who you are. You need to create a Sourceforge account to post on the forums. Although you can access the Sourceforge website using OpenID, this does not give you posting privileges.

Posts may be written in plain text or formatted using Markdown. To get instructions on using Markdown, press the button labelled "Formatting Help" on the left. Some important tips are as follows.

To get BUGS and R code chunks to display correctly, put four tilde characters on a line before and after the code. Note that this only works if you leave a blank line before the first set of tilde characters.

Alternatively, you can indent each line by at least 4 spaces but this is harder for long code listings. If you want to include verbatim code inside a paragraph, enclose it in back-ticks.

If you reply by email do not include the previous post in your reply, since it will be included in your post.

Use the preview button before posting! You can also edit your post after it appears to correct any formatting mistakes.

If you post the same query on another site, such as Stack Exchange, then it is courteous to post a cross link here so that forum users do not duplicate the efforts of other people to help you.

Do not post any follow-ups to this thread. I will delete them. Instead use the Help or Open Discussion areas of the forum.
