since one of the last upgrade of xfig:
if i draw a line, the line, circle or spline is invisible while drawing.
only wen i push the middle mouse button the line wil be drawn.
Is this my failor, or is this a bug?
Sorry, I could not reproduce the issue. I tried on a mac and on two machines under linux, a laptop with a hidpi screen and on a regular pc. The lines are always there while drawing. Could you specify the operating system under which you are working, and also the X-server?
The auxiliary lines are drawn with the line thickness set to zero. For the X-Server, this means to draw a line with the minimum width possible for the given device. I can see three causes for the auxiliary lines (internally called rubber_lines) not showing up:
1. You draw too fast. Draw one point, move the mouse - and wait a bit, whether a line appears.
2. Your X-server does not correctly implement a line width of zero.
3. Perhaps, but very improbable, something in the app-resource files is set strangely. To invalidate the last reason, move the app-resource file, e.g., in /etc/X11/app-defaults/Fig and also .Xresources in your home directory, out of the way. Xfig will start with an error message, but it should start.
Thanks for your report.
