Point Posn grid should respect scale factor

Or, at least, have an option to snap to the visible grid.
For example: I set units to metric, unit name to "m", scale factor to 1.5. Now the ruler is in meters (each meter = 0.75 cm on the page).
I set grid mode to the fourth option. Now I have a grid with 1-meter squares.
I set point posn to the fourth option. The virtual grid ignores the scale, so I can only position things on 1.5 m intervals. I want to position things on 1-m intervals (ie, I want things to snap to the visible grid).
I think, either the virtual grid should (maybe optionally?) respect the user scale, or there should be an option to make the virtual grid = the visible grid.
Thanks.
This is a valid observation. I did not use the option to change user scales, so the issue had slipped my attention. The visible grid should be equal to the grid on which points can be placed. But do not expect a very soon fix.
The issue is resolved in the development version, and will be resolved with the next release.
Fixed with release 3.2.7b.
