I ran version 5 with the following syntax
mcc-lidar -s 1.0 -t 1 -c 3.2803 g:\mcctest\data\44118c6324.las g:\mcctest\output\t1_44118c6324_1_0.las g:\mcctest\output\t1_44118c6324_1_0.asc
I asked for both the las and asc output files in one command line. IT completed and wrote both a asc and a las file but the asc file appears to be too small and when viewd in ARCGIS it appears to be just the last pass. Question can one ask for both outputs i the same comand it appears not.
IN the above test in reality it appears one can ask for both asc and las on one command line. However the asc file when it is brouhgt into ARCGIS there are many cells with no data in it. Reagrdless of the cell size i use. However if i take the classified las file and run it thorough the fusion programs gridsurfacecreate to create a DTM and then use DTM2ASCII and then import the asc into ARCGIS and create a hillshade there is no cells with NO data FUSION appears to do a nearest neaighbor to fill in areas with no data. Probably there is a way too reclassify pixels with no data in arcgis. Not sure what it is though
Ed and Andy noted that users want values in every cell of the ground surfaces. Therefore, I changed the surface interpolation so a value is computed for every cell (revision r148).
