Hello,

I have build MCA2.4 on Suse9.2 without lxrt but the 3DRobotViewer-plugin 
for mcagui is missing. Perhaps there is a problem with scons. Does 
anyone know how to amend the SConscript files?

You need Open Inventor or Coin for the 3D plugin.
Additionally you perhaps need to specify the corresponding directory when 
configuring mca2:
scons configure=yes oiv_dir=your_oi_path
