In my "Recent" folder in windows are folders and files mixed. In "Quick access" are only files.
For windows explorer i use QTTabBar and there i have a recent folder icon.
I don't know where to see recent opened applications.

Recent applications not important for me, because i have all programs in my Windows Start Menu (want to move them to groups in MaxLauncher). My most important programs have one tab in MaxLauncher.
For me the "Favorites" bar make no sense for use it for the recent lists.
"This tab" means a single space? That will mean you see only at that space only the latest item. I think that is a little bit too less (but maybe it could be really good, don't know).
I think the recent feature is nice, but many other features are much more important.
If the 3 recent functions come, i will make one tab where i use the 3 rows for each of the recents. After time i will see if i use it sometimes or not.

Yes, I mean MRUs from Windows and not from ML, since Windows QuickAccess is known to be numerically limited. I overcome this by using ClassicShell, which lists not only the last used files but also the most frequently used applications. However, as it is a menu app, it is not as fast as a pure launcher.
I also use QTTabBar, but only for visual reasons. I work with photography and drawing, I need the maximum exposure of thumbs and icons and the MRU functions of the Quizo app take up a lot of vertical space with toolbars.
"This tab" would be exactly the entire tab, which now seems redundant, since lines 1 to 3 can be marked. MRUs in ML favorites were thinking about harder users of QuickAccess and RecentFolder. Personally, I prefer ML's favorites for computer interrupt actions.

Apologies if I'm butting in but by conincidence I came here to request most recently launched (that is via MaxLauncher) and most frequently launched lists. Ideally this would be in the form of a read-only, auto-updating tab but any implementation would be very useful to me.
