MaxLauncher version: 1.2.0.0
Madapplauncher has work fine for me, for many years, am still using it, am hoping to acclimate to MaxLauncher, since it has one advantage I like hearing about, i..e, single/multiple instances, also like the themes. Thanks for creating MaxLauncher, I hope to see it work for me and others.

Hi,
You need to create a file so that the tabs and buttons will show up. Select File -> New. http://maxlauncher.sourceforge.net/documentation/quickstart.html
You can create many files that will show a different set of tabs.

Thank you madproton, that explanation works for me, my mistake having had only installed, opened window of Maxlauncher and saved-as, never used "New..." option, my bad.

1) I had forgot to mention how the top row never displays complete text, only a small edge of top of text is displaying. Are you working on that or am I missing something. Please enlighten me, I appreciate your time and consideration. Thank you for your expertise.
2) It may be my computer, when I click onto Help\Visit Web Site no web-page opens. I just wanted to see if that is how I am to find/be directed to: http://maxlauncher.sourceforge.net/documentation/quickstart.html.

Hi,
There is a splitter bar below the top buttons and above the tabs. Move your mouse there and the mouse cursor will change. You can then drag that up or down or resize the buttons and tabs. Sorry, I can't post an image right now but if you need it just post here again and I'll do it when I get home.

I did not add that to MaxLauncher. Sorry. Is that very important to you?
Yes, with 300 shorts per data file, 30 per tab, sorting/alphabetizing is very necessary. I will not be switching from MadAppLauncher (it has "Sort buttons by..."), because of this one fact. I am hoping MaxLauncher will see way to include this feature in the near future.
Q: How important is sorting data in MS Excel, in most other similar apps?

I added the sorting feature. I fixed a few things also. I am testing it now. :-)
Great, thank you. Is it possible to have a MaxLauncher import/convert of MadAppLauncher data files, so reacclimation is a simple task, for all whom discover your wonderful MaxLauncher, i.e., I have so many (30) different topics/data files of MadAppLauncher.
There is an Import function under the File menu.
