[Maxima-discuss] Version 5.48

I created a branch (branch-5_48) for version 5.48. Everything seems 
clean at this point, testsuite (incl. share) passes with no issues I am 
aware of. This is the moment of built-in-pause, to see if there are any 
last-minute issues that may need addressing; if not, I'll complete the 
release tomorrow (July 28).
