Hi Henry,
that's one of the topics I've been teaching for many years now, but my 
lecture notes are in Portuguese and I have only translated a few 
chapters yet (http://def.fe.up.pt/electricity/index.html).
I'm sending you an example in the attachment, which I hope is 
understandable. V1 and V2 are two expressions which depend on time t.
