There are several dead links on the related projects page. Perhaps they should be considered for removal. Euler WIMS Jacomax Interactive Demos of Mathematical Computations Also, some very old projects that might be considered for removal. Symaxx2 - no updates for 25 years, and no recent downloads Symbolic Equation Manipulator - no updates for 20 years, no downloads MaximaPHP - no updates for 14 years, no downloads -EM |

I updated the page and added maxima-on-wasm. I have attached the updated html file if someone wants to merge it. -EM On Sat, 2025-12-06 at 07:28 -0800, Raymond Toy wrote: > > > > > On 12/6/25 7:19 AM, Stavros Macrakis wrote: > > > > > > Maybe list them in a separate "history" section? > > > > > > > > > > That makes sense to me. > > And we should probably add the [maxima-on-wasm > website](https://maxima-on-wasm.pages.dev/), a full Maxima running in > a browser, including plotting. > > > > > > > On Sat, Dec 6, 2025, 09:29 ehm <eri...@gm...> wrote: > > > > > > > There are several dead links on the related projects page. > > > Perhaps they > > > should be considered for removal. > > > > > > Euler > > > WIMS > > > Jacomax > > > Interactive Demos of Mathematical Computations > > > > > > Also, some very old projects that might be considered for > > > removal. > > > > > > Symaxx2 - no updates for 25 years, and no recent downloads > > > Symbolic Equation Manipulator - no updates for 20 years, no > > > downloads > > > MaximaPHP - no updates for 14 years, no downloads > > > > > > -EM > > > > > > > > > _______________________________________________ > > > Maxima-discuss mailing list > > > Max...@li... > > > https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/maxima-discuss > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > _______________________________________________ > > Maxima-discuss mailing list > > Max...@li... > > https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/maxima-discuss > > > > > _______________________________________________ > Maxima-discuss mailing list > Max...@li... > https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/maxima-discuss |

I have committed ProjectsRelatedtoMaxima_ehm.html as relatedprojects.html with a couple of changes. One was to replace external links https://maxima.sourceforge.io/... with just the ... to make a relative link. The other is that I omitted a line which mentioned Taboola, <style>:is([id*='google_ads_iframe'],[id*='taboola-'],.taboolaHeight,.taboola-placeholder,#top-ad,#credential_picker_container,#credentials-picker-container,#credential_picker_iframe,[id*='google-one-tap-iframe'],#google-one-tap-popup-container,.google-one-tap__module,.google-one-tap-modal-div,#amp_floatingAdDiv,#ez-content-blocker-container) {display:none!important;min-height:0!important;height:0!important;}</style></head> >From what I gather, Taboola has something to do with web ads, but I can't tell what the effect of the above line would be. If it's actually needed we can restore it. best, Robert |

Hello, Thank you for your contribution. The page is much better now. We now have to update the Spanish, Portuguese, Russian and Turkish versions. I wonder whether we should eliminate the link to other languages when a page is updated, leaving instead a comment that older versions exist in other languages and should be re-linked once they are updated. I find it strange that I didn't get a copy of either the message with the ProjectsRelatedtoMaxima_ehm.html page or the commit done by Robert. I just checked the other pages and they are all free of Taboola. > On Sun, 2025-12-07 at 11:29 +0000, Jaime Villate wrote: > > Hello, > > Thank you for your contribution. The page is much better now. Hmm, saving the page from the browser accounts for some of the differences, although I just tried it with the related projects page as it is on the website and I don't see anything about Taboola in the saved page; just a curiosity at this point. In any event, probably better to edit the web pages as they are in the website repo. `git remote -v` reports: https://git.code.sf.net/p/maxima/website which should be sufficient for `git clone` and any other operations. best, Robert |

In addition to what Eric already mentioned, I think there is one more project that may be tagged as absolute or unmaintained: - kayali is from 2007. I think it is not maintained any more, it is based on absolute python2 and qt4. Also, I hope you add "maxima-mode" (https://gitlab.com/sasanidas/maxima) by Fermin MF to the list, it is like imaxima. hkh |

in his talk in EmacsConf2020, FMF answer this question, I quote:
Q8 Are you planning to upstream your package into Maxima? (would be nice
[Fermin] I would love to add the package to the maxima
official repository, but I don't know if I can use the GitLab CI/CD
from the main repository, if the answer is yes, then It shouldn't be
too much trouble.
IMHO, this decision is left to dev, if the Maxima dev finds this a
feature complete/rich (no activity for 2 years!), it would be nice to
pull it into the maxima repo. but it is already on MELPA, so it is not
a problem for an Emacs user to install and use.

Leo, I don't know if you saw this message about an Emacs package for Maxima (https://gitlab.com/sasanidas/maxima). Do you have an opinion about that? What do you think about the idea of merging that package into the maxima repo? best, Robert On Mon, Dec 8, 2025 at 1:45 PM Hemza <hem...@gm...> wrote: > > in his talk in EmacsConf2020, FMF answer this question, I quote: > > Q8 Are you planning to upstream your package into Maxima?
