Bugs item #600480, was opened at 2002-08-26 23:37 You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=104933&aid=600480&group_id=4933 Category: None Group: None Status: Open Resolution: None Priority: 5 Submitted By: Julian St. (boelthorn) Assigned to: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Summary: wish executable path Initial Comment: What 'wish' gives me on my FreeBSD 4.6.2 box: "In FreeBSD, wish is named with a version number. This is because different versions of wish are not compatible with each other and they can not all be called "wish"! You may need multiple versions installed because a given port may depend on a specific version. On your system, wish is installed under at least the following names: wish8.0 wish8.4" If I change the executable name from exec wish "$0" "$@" in the xmaxima shell script into wish8.0 everything is ok, but it should be configureable without digging the sources. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=104933&aid=600480&group_id=4933 |

If no one minds, I'll take it out, and people can use the explicit command line: wish<whatever-version> xmaxima For the binary versions, xmaxima is wrapped so it's not an issue. There are some changes to the way xmaxima is started in progress, so everything is not completely sorted out yet, but the wish problem should be solved in principle. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Mike Clarkson (mikeclarkson) Date: 2002-09-04 19:49 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=31254 The exec wish "$0" "$@" obviously doesn't work under Windows, and shouldn't be relied on.
