diff output of exponential functions are wrong!

one example:

the maxima output

diff(3^x,x) = log(3) 3^x --> wrong!!!

how it should be:
f(x) = 3^x
f'(x)= 3^x ln(3)

thx ivo

    In Maxima, the natural log function is log. To view the user
    documentation for log, try:

    (%i2) ? log;
    0: (maxima.info)Logarithms.
    1: Definitions for Logarithms.

    choose 1.

    And by the way, it's not just Maxima that uses log for the
    natural log. Except in a calculus book, I assume that log
    means the natural log.
