calling xmaxima --help results in following error message:

    Another datum. I don't see an error when I execute "xmaxima
    --help"; I see a pop up window containing some text about
    command line options, which I think is as it is supposed to
    be. No idea what the cause of the error might be.

    That bug appeared in old versions of Xmaxima. It was fixed
    by Vadim V. Zhytnikov on October 2004.
    (the square backets in "Usage: xmaxima [options].." should
    be escaped.
