Of course, this can be simplified with another pass of
ordinary factorization:
factor\(ff\) =&gt; \(x-4\*q^2+2\)\*\(x+4\*q^2-2\)
A simpler example, but perhaps suspect because it uses
q in the polynomial to factor:
