plotdf (y + x, [x, 0, 1], [y, 0, 1]);
=> x range ignored, default range used instead (-10 to 10)

plotdf (y + x, [y, 0, 1], [x, 0, 1]);
=> y range ignored, default range instead

plotdf (y + x, [trajectory_at, 0, 0], [x, 0, 1], [y, 0, 1]);
=> both x and y ranges used

plotdf (y + x, [nsteps, 8], [x, 0, 1], [y, 0, 1]);
=> both x and y ranges used
