Hi everyone
I'm having a problem with the disolate command.
As far as I understand this command is supposed to accept a list as second argument.
However I run into problems when I run the attached test program.
Am I doing things right or is this actually a sort of bug?
Cheers
Alberto

The syntax of disolate is a bit different. The documentation says disolate(expr, var_1, var_2, ... ) and not disolate(expr, [var_1, var_2, ...]). With the documented syntax I get for your example:

    (%i1) expr: a+b*c+d*cos(q1+q2)$

    (%i2) disolate(expr, q1,q2);
    (%t2) b*c+a
    (%o2) d*cos(q2+q1)+%t2

The terms which do not contain the variables q1 and q2 are replaced with a line label %t2. I think this is the expected behavior.

Setting the status to pending and the resolution to "Works for me".

    Hi Dieter
As a matter of fact you're right.
I also get the expected behaviour.
I misunderstood the use of the command: I thought disolate accepted lists as well...
I'll add this as a feature request :)
    thanks
    cheers
