Start xmaxima-local and at any time, plot something
with the "embedded" option. The (C) of the following
line appears before the (D) corresponding to the plot. Ex:

(C1) plot2d(sin(x),[x,-3,3]);

########[nice plot graphic]
########[But look now at the numbers:]

(C2) 10;
(D1)10;
(D2) 10

(C3) bug_report();

    Still present in 5.9.3cvs. It appears that Xmaxima does not
    restore the window correctly after closing the embedded plot.

    Incidentally to test embedded plots you need to
    set_plot_option ([plot_format, openmath]); as well as
    checking the radio button Options >> Plot windows >> Embedded .

    Not observed in Maxima 5.12.0 on Windows XP, Windows Vista, and Linux. Behavior at present is to suppress output label corresponding to plotting input expression; this is OK by me. Closing this report as fixed. (I know that Jaime Villate has worked on XMaxima in general and embedded plots in particular, so I'm pretty sure there has been specific action taken for this problem.)
