Greetings! I'm forwarding three bug reports on xmaxima
from a Debian
user. I don't know any tcl/tk, so unfortunately cannot help
here
myself.

    I confirm the bug.

    Maxima uses synchronous sockets to connect,
    and synchronous DNS. Should be fixed.

    On the medium term todo list.

    Problem still exists (Maxima 5.12.0) but not very pressing to fix it. Reducing priority accordingly.
