I'm afraid the SF tells something about only nightly builds can be = available from the site and releases have to be available from the release system, = I suppose it has to do with mirroring. Anyway I don't like it and would = prefer not to do it. The maven-sourceforge plugin or the SF Quick Release System (QRS) can = help.=20 <quote>There is no set quota on the amount of data you can release via = the File Release System (though we do audit projects with large amounts of = data in the FRS). Projects releasing a distro worth of packages, ISO images, = or other large/frequently-updated materials should contact the = SourceForge.net team for assistance. Only project-related materials may be released to = the File Release System. Nightly builds (which would be updated each day) = should be released to Project Web space, instead. Files released via the File Release System cannot be removed.</quote> > -----Original Message----- > From: Eric Pugh [mailto:ep...@up...]=20 > Sent: Tuesday, October 05, 2004 4:01 PM > To: Carlos Sanchez > Subject: RE: [Maven-plugins-developer] Change release strategy? >=20 > Do you have an opinion on hiding the SF file release system? =20 > I agree about the navigation.xml part.. >=20 > > -----Original Message----- > > From: Carlos Sanchez [mailto:car...@us...] > > Sent: Tuesday, October 05, 2004 3:03 PM > > To: ep...@up... > > Subject: RE: [Maven-plugins-developer] Change release strategy? > > > > > > Hi Eric, > > > > I suggest adding plugins to navigation.xml so main site can=20 > be built=20 > > by anyone, and each plugin site is responsability of its developer. > > > > Regards > > > > Carlos Sanchez > > A Coru=F1a, Spain > > http://www.jroller.com/page/carlossg/Weblog > > > > Oness Project > > http://oness.sourceforge.net > > > > > > > -----Original Message----- > > > From: mav...@li... > > > [mailto:mav...@li...] > > > On Behalf Of Eric Pugh > > > Sent: Tuesday, October 05, 2004 2:10 PM > > > To: Maven-plugins-developer > > > Subject: [Maven-plugins-developer] Change release strategy? > > > > > > Since Maven wants to download plugins using the plugin=20 > plugin ( :-)=20 > > > ), should we change the homepage and remove the download link and=20 > > > give higher visibility to the Installation link? > > > > > > I find going through the file release process on SF a=20 > fair amount of=20 > > > work.. > > > and it really doesn't seem required?
