Releasing of recent MAVE code is on hold. As soon as the Arts, Media, and Engineering Program of Arizona State University (who owns the copyright to MAVE) completes rethinking of its open source policy, I will post more information and hopefully the latest code. The most recent released code is from November/December 2005, and can be downloaded from the CVS repository.
I am planning to release an alpha version of MAVE, tar.gz and all, sometime during this summer. I would like to arrive at a stable state in the development before packaging anything up. The first step will be analyzing the current state of the project and setting the goals for the alpha release. I hope to have them all posted in the Tracker in the next couple of weeks.
I will make another news posting when the list is complete, and I start working on the alpha release goals.
I have placed the files I am currently working on into the CVS repository. The functionality is fairly limited so far - the only thing there is a simple 2D color-based tracker with its GUI. You can find the documentation on the project home page, http://randomaxis.info/research/mave/.
