Increase processor clock speed from 16MHz to 40MHz?
What still needs to be decided?
What still needs to be done?

MatrixPilot_mw4 by Mark Whitehorn is running at multiple speeds. I have tested the 40mips option on UDB4. Mark is testing UDB5. It would be good to know Mark's high level plan for his branch code ?

current branch status is in
https://code.google.com/p/gentlenav/source/browse/branches/MatrixPilot_mw4/MatrixPilot/branchStatus.txt
bench tested on UDB4/5 at 16,32 and 40 MIPS, on AUAV3 at 16,32,64 and 70 MIPS
initial plan for branch was just to fix problems with ADC and higher MIPS and call it 4.1
But I've also finished porting the HEARBEAT_HZ parameter and serial I/O ring buffer from MatrixPilotMulti and added a non-blocking debug print facility for MAVlink. As part of that work, the DCM updates now occur at 200Hz, synchronous with MPU6000 interrupts.
I'd suggest that 4.1 should now be a bugfix plus performance improvements release.
