Your error is probably because the default in variable semanticdb-matlab-include-paths is incorrect. You could either customize it, or create the directory. Creating the directory is probably best since it is on your path by default, and is a handy place to put MATLAB files. I think you are the first to try this code and not have that directory. ;) I'll also fix that file so that it doesn't use that default if it doesn't exist.
