[Matlab-emacs-discuss] matlab + emacs + windows

Hi,

I would like to run the matlab shell under emacs, under Windows XP. I
established the following:

1. Most people gave up on this idea because MATLAB won't open a text console
process on windows.
2. There's a circa 1998 program called matlabShell that will run the MATLAB
engine as a text console and was intended for use with matlab.el. I don't
have reports of it working with the latest matlab.el.

Did anyone use the matlabShell solution or parhaps knows of another working
solution?
Does anyone know of any alternative editor the MEditor that interfaces with
MATLAB?
