#12 (require 'semanticdb-search) and emacsinit in gnu emacs 24

using the trunk version of gnu emacs, with its built-in cedet, I get an error message that semanticdb-search does not exist. it indeed is not in the cedet directory tree

also, invoking emacsinit.m I get no error messages, but clicking on highlighted code lines appearing within the matlab desktop error message, I get the matlab editor opened instead of emacsclient. (I do have emacs-server on).

this is all on mac os x, thanks for any hints...
