I'd be very grateful if you could point me in a direction that might help me improve these timing results:

Reference clock rate=2400Mhz, new rate=2926Mhz
Refrenc : % of clock rate achieved by reference install
Present : % of clock rate achieved by present ATLAS install

The target machine uses a Core i7 970 with Ubuntu 12.10 (kernel 3.5.0), GCC 4.7.2 and ATLAS 3.10.1. I've read through all of the ATLAS documentation and many of the posts in this forum, but I haven't yet found anything that seems to apply. You'll find attached a copy of my error report.

Many thanks,

Allen

Yes, this is strange. We are using the exact same kernel, but my 2.4Ghz machine is much faster than yours.

First, the funky kSelMM line is the fault of my archdefs, so that is not your machine making those look terrible.

The funky part is the BIG_MM line, where your results are about half what is expected.

Let me ask the obvious question: are you sure you have CPU throttling turned off, and that the Ghz is 2.926 in the turned of state?

    ?
