Thanks for all the work on speeding up linear algebra calculations. I am new to using atlas and have successfully employed cblas_zgemm for complex matrix mutliplication, but now I am trying to find out if Altas/Blas/Cblas can do a few other tricks, in this case upper tridiagonal matrix reduction, and diagonalizes a real symmetric tridiagonal matrix.
Is there any good documentation for reading about what the functions in these libraries actually do in human readable text? I have searched many websites and all the atlas documentation and found little that was helpful. I know this is probably not the best place for this kind of question, but I can't find anywhere else to ask.
If not, can anyone tell me what routines I could use to do the two above operations?
Thanks a lot, David
