I want a visible scrollbar when mrxvt is not in fullscreen mode, but make it invisible when switching to fullscreen (to nostalgically semi emulate a linux console). So, I made the following mrxvtrc file:

###############################################################
Mrxvt.noSysConfig: True

Mrxvt.background: #000040
Mrxvt.foreground: #f0f0f0

Mrxvt.geometry: 80x27
Mrxvt.autohideTabbar: 1

# Use Ctrl-Shift-F to switch to Fullscreen and back,
Mrxvt.macro.Ctrl+Shift+F: ToggleSubwin s
Mrxvt.macro.Add+Ctrl+Shift+F: ToggleFullscreen

Mrxvt.showMenu: False
Mrxvt.scrollbarRight: False
###############################################################

The problem is that if you press Ctrl-Shift-F repeatedly, the non-fullscreen window will shrink each time, becoming thinner and thinner and not preserving the original size. This is very annoying. I reported this bug previously on http://bugs.debian.org/450648 and also to http://code.google.com/p/mrxvt/issues/detail?id=3

Version running on Debian unstable:

Mrxvt v0.5.4
Options:
XPM,Jpeg,PNG,transparent,fade,tint,textshadow,menubar,XIM,multichar_languages,scrollbars=rxvt+NeXT+xterm+sgi+plain,xft,Greek,frills,linespace,24bit,selectionscrolling,256colour,cursorBlink,pointerBlank,session management,Resources
