No, the stop-functionality has not been implemented for the command-line continuation as you describe.
There is another option that might help. Whenever the continuation finds that the curve is closed it stops the continuation. You could try modifying that part by implementing a different criterion, e.g. whenever the size of the structure s is 2 (implying a bifurcation has been found). It will be a manual hack of your own local copy.
