I have a system made up of 10 first order ODEs. MatCont works perfectly if I only want to plot individual variables.
However, what I'm interested in is the behaviour of a linear combination of 3 of the system variables.
Ideally I would like to be able to define this combination of variables as an 11th coordinate. But MatCont does not seem to accept this kind of definition.
This seems like it should be a fairly straight forward thing to do. I'm hoping that I've just missed something obvious.
Has anybody got any experience working with combinations of variables of this kind? How is it done?
