Hey..ID3v1.1 is an older standard which allows limited(128
bytes of) data and is added to the end of an mp3. ID3v2.x is
the new standard allows upto 256MB of data (u can include
even pictures or lyrics in it) and the tag data is added usually
to the begining of the mp3 file. So you can have different
information in the two types of tags, using v2.x for more
detailed info. Some (older) mp3 players supports only v1.1,
iPod i think supports both giving first preference to ID3v2.x
tags to display information. So make sure you have those
tags in order. Working with ID3v1.1 is faster than ID3v2.x, so
u can for example set all the v1.1 tags right then use Copy
ID3v1.1 --> ID3v2.x from the Tools menu in mp3 tag tools.
You can read more about the ID3 tags here
http://www.id3.org/intro.html
If you want to remove all the ID3v1.1 tags use "Remove
Tags" button in MTT when ID3v1.1 tab is selected (see help
file for details)
