#17 Ascii char 53 at end of fields?

I'm using MassID3lib to read and write my tags. Nice job
on the app. Straight forward, un-encumbered. I like it.

Quick question: I'm using the java id3lib to read my 2.x
tags via Coldfusion 7.x. I note that after most fields, it
displays the ASCII char 53.

Is this part of the spec? Is it the way that id3lib handles
things, or MassID3lib? Will it harm my tag/mp3 file if I
remove it?
