i have a linux samba-share mounted on my winxp. trying to change tags or filenames on this share causes mp3tagtools v1.2 to create the errors: "ERROR: an unnamed file has not been found" or "ERROR: access denied to an unnamed file".
modifying the tags on the share with other programs (e.g. iTunes) works.
anyone ever experienced similar problems? is this a bug in mp3tagtools? or am i missing something?

Hi Andreas,
were u editing id3v1.1 or id3v2.x when the error ocurred, what operation exactly gave u that error (removing tag or renaming file etc). MTT has not been fully tested in a share/network setup, although i have received mails from a user (similar samba share setup, older ver of samba?) for whom it works without any errors..Perhaps it maybe a Linux permissions issue cos if a new (or larger than previous tag) id3v2 tag has to be written a new file has to be created in that directory then the old file (mp3 data) is added to it. It might be failing at this stage? John G.
