In other news, I have managed to solve a problem with JMF that should clear the way to fix the VoicecommsNetworkSetup problems we've been having. I'll keep you posted.

I have spent many months trying to get to the bottom of how to make jini & tomcat operate together. In the end, I found an answer - use urunservlet project. But, this seemed a bit too much of a kludge to me.
So, I have checked in a swing based GUI. This is the evagui module. I have checked in several changes to the services module as well to support the gui.
The steps to get up and running are:
- install jini, jmf
- run reggie
- run global level server
- run rover test case
- run rover server

There are now two people officially developing marseva. Welcome to Susan Smith(aka flametree). Great to have you aboard. Susan will be working on the MissionPlanning task.
I have completed checking in of two modules to CVS. They are:
- services - the set of jini services
- appgui - the guis for the applications.
marseva is a distributed mission planning and execution environment encompassing jmf, jini to simulate the software required to manage eva's on mars.
Version 0.0.1 is the source code for the basic JINI services, and the gui's that are available for the hab, rover & suit. have a look at the release notes, and go to the home page http://marseva.sourceforge.net and check out the system_design.pdf to understand how it's put together.
