This development idea is about simulating the entire life cycle of settlers from birth to death and realistically representing them at each stage of life.
The first step in this feature would be representing a settler's age. This could either be passive (calculated upon request) or active, adding each block of passing time.
We might also want to represent the amount of time they've spent on Mars as there might be related physiological effects (bone mass loss, radiation issues, etc.).
A person's natural attributes are currently static and presumed to be for the age range of around 20 - 40 Earth years. As we simulate people at older ages, we could have some of the person's natural attributes change with age. Some people would age more gracefully than others, so there could be a random element. There might be an increase risk in illnesses or injuries related to growing older as well.
If we want to simulate babies born on Mars, we'll have to simulate 9 months (or so) of pregnancy and then child birth. Pregnant women would have to reduce their physical tasks as their pregnancies get further along. There might be increased doctor checkups around this time as well.
We might want to simulate babies inheriting natural attributes from their parents.
When a baby is born, it will need near constant care by the parents. It's tasks will be mostly eating (being fed), sleeping and relaxing. As the child grows older, it will need less supervision and will be able to perform more tasks and start learning skills.
A settlement may want to set up a school if there is a sufficient number of children there. Individual settlers could spend time teaching the children as well.
The child's natural attributes will change as the child grows up.

Currently we have each person's birthdate, age and birth location in the simulation and viewable in the person info window in the UI.
