Chris,

The Mars Simulation Project is designed to be a simulation of Mars
settlements.  It's computer controlled with a passive user interface
allowing you to see what's going on in the world.  It doesn't have any user
interaction just yet, with the exception of text configuration files
("people.conf", "rovers.conf" and "settlements.conf") that let you name the
units.

Later we plan on adding some sort of user interaction with the running
simulation, but for the moment it's more along the lines of watching an
aquarium.

We're going to try to add a user's guide to the project's Web site before
the next version release.
