HI Lars, I need to do more investigation of JMonkeyEngine, Unity, and other 3D graphics & game engines. I would love to see what we could incorporate into the Mars Simulation Project visualizations. At the moment I'm mostly focused on improving the 2D settlement map tool for visualization, though.
